Accreditations
B & K Structures consider that having the correct accreditations is fundamental to our clients success, right from the start we have held industry recognition even when we just handled structural steelwork, but now as the business has expanded it’s supply into engineered timbers we feel it even more important. The company adopts and applies Best Practice sustainability principles through all aspects of its processes, from raw material procurement through to manufacture, off-site and on-site assembly. Offering only FSC or PEFC certified timber materials ensures that we and our clients maintain a 'Green Supply Chain' and also that they can prove a legal and sustainable “Chain of Custody” for their construction products therefore actively participating in the management of the world's forests.
Based on this and the advent of engineered timbers, being added to the product portfolio, we needed to further our commitments to the industry, with that we undertook qualification for FSC and PEFC accreditation, along with membership to TRADA and during 2010 we undertook to convert our ISO:9001. 2001 to ISO:9001. 2008 and have all products incorporated together.
Today’s clients are knowledgeable and require the highest recognition for their buildings, they regularly strive for BREEAM Excellent and even Outstanding.
B & K Structures also hold an Achilles accreditation (Building Confidence), we carry the RoSPA “Gold Award” for 11 years running and are recognised by CHAS. We are also approved to the “Green Tick” standard on the Building Register.
